Camp Carnival for 11 year old

We are sailing on the Triumph in a couple of weeks:D and I am concerned that

my 11 year old daughter will not have fun in Camp Carnival. It looks like the

program for 12 year olds would be more suited for her. Does anyone have

a copy of the itinerary for 9-11 age group? Anyone know if she could join the older group for some activities?

Let her try it....if the counselors see that she's too mature, they'll ask you if they can move her up. Don't put any preconcieved notions into your daughter's head beforehand, tho...the activities are suited to each age group!

Check out this list maintained by one of the frequent posters. She has most cruise lines and itineraries.

Anyone have any information on the camps for the Inspiration? I looked on the above website and didn't find anything on the inspiration. I also think my kids would be more into the 12 - 14 yr old things. Cna I request my kids be moved up? thanks

Unless your child's birthday is very close to the sailing date, he/she will probably have to stay with the assigned age group. Two of my sons have been in the 9-11 group (one is currently in that group - he's 10) and they've enjoyed the activities. If you look at the Carnival Pride capers posted on crusinmama06's site, they're pretty representative of the activities fleetwide.

My DD (now 13) was in the 9-11 age group for several of our cruises. She turned 12 less than 2 weeks after our Carnival Legend cruise - she was bored with some of the activities (but I think that most kids are bored with a couple of the activities). The counselors didn't offer to let her move up- and I didn't suggest it. Our cruise last month she was in Circle C she enjoyed the activities. But, I was surprised that the Circle C group spent time each day with the Club O2 (the older teen club).

Michelle (Cruisinmama06) has a lot of great info on the various cruise lines kids "clubs". Here is the page 1 for the Carnival Pride 9-11 years Camp Capers. Hope it helps!

On our Triumph cruise my 11 yo twins just attended a few events with Camp Carnival. My 13 yo in Circle C only attended a few things also. She said all the girls just wanted to talk about boys and the boys stayed huddled away from the pack of girls. Circle C also combined with the O2 crowd and didn't follow the printed schedule always. Guess a lot depends on how many kids are there. My kids made friends on their own and had a lot of fun. Also they loved the family we sat with at dinner-we had late seating and wouldn't have dreamed of missing the MDR so they didn't attend evening camp events- except the late night party. They really had fun staying up til 3am- the counselors escort each child back to their cabin and that ws the night we enjoyed the adult comedy show so it worked out great.
