Local Beer?

Would it be safe for us to just take walk ( without taking a taxi ) outside of the secured area of MB?

 

It likely would be safe but there is not much if anything in what most would consider walking distance of the MB port. Of course everything on Roatan is walking distance if you have the time. What is it you are hoping to walk to? If grocery stores are what you seek you likely will not want to walk from MB

Planning to just enjoy the beach at MB. Just wondering if it was ok to wander out, if there's anything to see and buy etc. If others in my group are looking for local beer, could they just walk to a close-by grocery to buy the ones noted in previous posts.

There really is no grocery within an easy walk, some small places nearby but prices likely will not be much different that the port. Beer in general is a lot more expensive than North America unless getting it in returnable bottles at a distributor but that is not much of an option for a cruise visitor

Had a few of these during our visit :) I wouldn't call it "good", but it was hot outside and the beer was very cold.
