Question about dining

Do you need to bring identification to dinner if you plan on ordering wine?:confused:

You will need your cruise card to sign for the wine. I would think that anyone near 21 would be subject to an ID check, s better to bring the id.

That's what I figured. I just want to be prepared & not have to run back to the room for my ID at dinner if I decide to order a drink.

I saw someone "carded" in a cruise ship dining room a couple of weeks ago, but he wasn't the one ordering...his father asked the waiter to give him a bottle of beer. I believe most cruise lines have something on your room key that identifies you as a minor.

I don't know what other cruiselines do, but on RCI your seapass is punched with a hole to indicate you are under 21 years of age.

 

You don't need to bring along another ID if you are over 21.

On the three cruises I've been on, you only needed your cruise ID. If you are a minor, there is a hole punched in it. That works not only for beverages, but the activities where you need parental permission like skating or the rock wall.
