skyisthelimit Posted March 15, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 15, 2010 We are sailing on the Dream on April 10th, ports of call are Nassau, St. Thomas and St. Maarten. We know that we want to have a beach day at one of these ports. What do you suggest as the best place to do that??
nobody000 Posted March 15, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 15, 2010 Try Koki beach in St Thomas...one of my fav's in the Eastern side..most days its far from crowded.. You will also find alot of people say St Johns for the day also..no matter what you will enjoy it.

willycruise Posted March 15, 2010 #4 Share Posted March 15, 2010 For seclusion, take a ferry to St. Johns on the day you are in St. Thomas......Or.... If you don't mind a crowd, and some nudity, Orient Beach in St. Marten is one of the calmest, just hanging around beach, you will find any where in the world. The sand is SO soft, it feels almost fake. There are plenty of places on Orient that rent chairs and umbrellas, and a never ending choice for food and drink. St. Johns is much more laid back. At most beaches (besides Trunk Bay) you may be the only one around. One of my favorites would be Cinnamon bay, has showers and changing rooms, just not as crowded as Trunk Bay. Cruise, J.D. Posted March 15, 2010 #6 Share Posted March 15, 2010 I did this itinerary last year and went to beaches at each port. I vote for Orient Beach, St. Martin.
jmcancruise Posted March 15, 2010 #7 Share Posted March 15, 2010 Any Caribbean beach would be great, but I vote Meagan's bay.
cb at sea Posted March 15, 2010 #8 Share Posted March 15, 2010 Any or all have great beaches for a beach day! I'd do beaches at EVERY port, if it was up to me!
golfadj Posted March 15, 2010 #9 Share Posted March 15, 2010 But there should be a law that only people that are not scary can take clothes off at orient beach. Still have some nightmares on what we saw last year.
golfadj Posted March 15, 2010 #10 Share Posted March 15, 2010 Nobody should have to look at 300 pound people undressed and parading down the beach.
tulsacubfan Posted March 15, 2010 #11 Share Posted March 15, 2010 Any would be great, but I like St. Maarten or St. John. I might suggest - see what else there is you might want to do at each port. Then figure out which you would rather do than beach day, then see which island is left and do that for the beach day.

dancemom3 Posted March 17, 2010 #14 Share Posted March 17, 2010 We loved Megan's Bay Beach in St. Thomas as well. Lots of beach options at these ports. I don't think there's a "wrong" decision. Good luck and enjoy!
