Another luggage tag question

My Take: Carry all the needed tags with you printed out and prepared. And yes -- buy one of those mini-staplers to take with you.

I know this sounds trivial but...I'll be switching ships in Vancouver during a b/b/b and was wondering if I have to bring along a stapler and packing tape, or will they help me on board?

I'd recommend bringing a small roll of clear packing tape.

I laminate the printed area of the tag with clear packing tape then cut the tag to size at home. Before boarding, I attach the tag with clear packing tape. This results in an almost indestructible tag that's very difficult to remove.

I'm sure they will have a stapler at the desk, no need to pack one.

Do you think they will her to take the stapler to her cabin? Perhaps not, necessitating schlepping all her luggage to the Purser's desk.

If you're going the stapler route, bring your own.

I would bring your printed luggage tags, just in case.

In case of what? There's no question she will need to bring her printed tags.

Security might think its a weapon. I would laminate the tags at home, punch a hole in them, bring some string and tie them on.
