Without a doubt HAL. I have been on every cruise line at least once, but with HAL, I have made 18 trips; 3 alone in 2004. nita19482003

Without being rude, and having been on 20+ cruises....HAL. Hands down.

After listening to all the reports about HAL I can hardly wait for our cruise on the Volendam 3/20. We've sailed Celebrity and really enjoyed it. Then at christmas we sailed on carnival with our 4 kids (19, 21, 23, 25), one boyfriend (23) and grandma (84). It was the first cruise for grandma and the kids and they loved it. We had a good time but like someone said after 1 cruise you are always comparing and carnival was a different league from celebrity. Noise (actually it was called music, but I'm 50), bodies, screaming colours and activity 24/7 literally abounded on the Carnival Victory. I did like those buckets of beer though!;) MEH

Buckets of beer by the pool are the only way to go. The bucket with ice will keep the bottle you are drinking cold, not many people like warm beer, or sodas for that matter. They should sell buckets of sodas by the pool. I have also heard people complain about the drink of the day by the pool being watered down.
