ORCRUISER Posted March 25, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 25, 2010 would it work to take a ship tour from Port Everglades that ends at Miami airport even if we are staying in a motel and flying out the day after the cruise/tour?
tmitchell82 Posted March 25, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 25, 2010 We did this on our last cruise. Took a tour of the everglades through the cruise line that dropped us of at MIA. We were not flying out till the next morning. Once they dropped us if at MIA, we called the hotel shuttle to come and get us. The hotel we stayed at was right by the airport and had a free shuttle which is something to consider. You could also rent a car at MIA too if the hotel did not have a shuttle or get a cab to and from. Our flight the next morning was pretty early so staying near MIA worked well for us. Nanatravel Posted March 25, 2010 #5 Share Posted March 25, 2010 If it is the Everglades tour, I would certainly do it. It will save you money getting to your Miami hotel and take care of what to do after you get off the ship. Plus everyone must experience the eco-system of our state of Florida. cruiser_rach Posted March 28, 2010 #6 Share Posted March 28, 2010 I would love to know more about this! I have been looking into touring the everglades but cannot find much information.. How far away is it from the Port and/or Miami airport?
