3 teens & a toddler...Bahama excursions??

Taking the 21 month old and 3 teenagers to the Bahamas on the Conquest this summer...will have at least 6 adults also. We love doing things as a family. Any suggestions for excursions that suit all? First cruise for all the kids. We're very excited about taking them, but don't want the teens in too much of a "party" environment.

You know, what excursions may be suitable will depend on what you like to do! I'd get a guidebook and find out everything there is...then you can make a great choice! You may find that you don't even need an excursion...lots of things are doable on your own, for alot less money. With so many folks, that could save a bundle!

Here's our experience: Even tho the kids wanted to do the cave tubing in Belize (it was $100 each!), we talked them into a horse-pulled ride around the city with a local guide who gave us lots of info about the area's history and culture. We stopped along the way to buy cokes and local beer in a neighborhood store, he took our picture as tho we were walking thru a typical neighborhood. We took lots of other pictures and by the end of the ride, we knew alot about the area and even walked back to some of the places we wanted to see more. Ended up that everybody had a great time and it only cost $30 to do that.

I think any boating activity would be fun for the whole family. The teens can tube or ski while the adults watch on and relax on a nice boat ride. The important thing is to make sure that you do things you want to do while accommodating your teens requests too. If you balance activities out then your teens will be more willing to do something you want to do in order for them to do something they want to do. And who knows they might actually enjoy doing what you want to do.
