How long to disembark from the INDEPENDANCE in Southampton?

Hey all

 

I'm disembarking INDEPENDANCE of the SEAS at Southampton on 25 APRIL after a Transatlantic. The cruise itinerary says we dock at 5.30am

 

I need to get to HEATHROW and decided to take the bus. (National Express). They offer a 8:45 am bus and a 10:45 am bus.

 

Would I be able to make the 8:45am bus? So my question, how long does it take to disembark? Is their many documents etc. to be signed/ paid or can I do that the night before?

 

It's my first cruise ever, so not sure how things work.

Generally speaking, you should be able to easily make the 8:45 bus....you can close out your account the night before (prepare for long lines!).

If you aren't carrying you bags off yourself, just let the ship know you have an early flight, and they'll put you in one of the 1st groups off. It doesn't take too long to get off the ship, assuming that there are no unforeseen circumstances. There shouldn't be....
