Skagway excursion - is there time?

Our ship will be in Skagway from 7am to 3pm according to our published itinerary. According to Joni from the horseback riding stables up at Emerald Lake we have enough time to pick up our rental car and make the 1030am ride (930am Skagway time). She said we will finish around 1pm (12pm Skagway time) which leaves us a couple of hours to get back to Skagway. Both my dauther and I have horses and we figure we will need a horse fix by then but do not want to feel panicked about having enough time to get back to the ship. How far from scheduled departure should we be back on board and do you think we will have the time? Help.

You will need to be on board no later than a 1/2 hour before departure. You will be 75 miles from Skagway so you should get back in time. You will need to be very organized and first off your ship for the pick up however.
