You have Funyons on the brain again, Jimbo? ;)

That's what the wife says:eek: When we went cross country in a motorhome (talk about interesting vacations) my kids made up a song about funyons.......must be different ones:eek:

If you plan on buying certificates for future cruises, make sure you buy them on board. When we were on there last month, booth was not opened. They told us could buy them once we got home. We had 67 couples in our group. They lied to us. Now they won't let us buy them. Not very happy with them lying to us. We are not first time cruisers. We have done 9 alone on Carnival. We have had Cat 11 the last 4 cruises. They let a couple buy them. NOw they are going back on their word. Not nice to lie!

Randy,

I have no doubt you will love the decks of this ship. She's got a lot more partying atmosphere on Lido and other top decks than any other ship I've been on. You know how some ships have a place or two that is nice for groups? This one has too many to count and all are jumping today!

I do believe she would flow better with 1000 fewer passengers on board, but this is just the first full day so I can't draw that conclusion yet. ;)

You know me too well my firend :D

Paul, I'm beginning to think PB Tom imports these characters just for your visits:rolleyes: I'll wait for your review to hear the tale.

Be sure to have at least a look see at Clip N Zip tomorrow. And ask about their last minute shorter zipping if you're doing other things.

Crew

Crew,

LOL, we brought this group with us! Actually she is with a large group, but she's the only 'mouth' in the group.

If the Clip N Zip is right behind the new port, that's where we're planning to zip line this time.

Thanks for doing this Paul! We are on her in less than 2 weeks and this is getting me even more excited to leave.

I was hoping to do a semi-live thread too - by chance, did they run any specials on purchasing internet time the first day? I'm assuming you have a lappy with you - any connection problems?

Have a wonderful rest of the day in Coz!!

Thank you.

Yes, using my laptop now from my balcony. 240 min / $89. Special this AM from 9 - noon for five minutes free for five minutes used.

I swear on a stack of Bibles I have not and am not in Mexico right now.

LemurCat,

I may have a picture.....:p

Paul - thanks so much for taking time out of your busy vacation to post another wonderful "live" thread. Did you, by chance, sign up for the "behind the scenes" tour? We also had a great time and lunch at PB in Feb., and loved the "new" water toys they had added since the last time we were there. (Aug.) Don't spend too much of your vacation answering questions - go out and play!

pe4all,

No, I missed signing up for it. I think we're gonna do the Galley tour.

LOL, I'm getting plenty of play time in! :)

gypsyrose,

Thank you.

No extended stay after this one. We return to port Saturday morning and fly back home Sunday morning. :o

I haven't seen the sales desk yet, but we still have several certificates left to use.

We are back on board after a great day on Roatan. We did the Click & Zip then rode the Magic Chairs to Mahogany Beach. Click and Zip was $40 per person plus $3 for a very small locker. I gave my lock to a Princess passenger waiting in line to zip line when we were finished. The Magic Chairs are $8 per person. Glad we did it once, but won't next time. If you plan to do the Click and Zip, do it as soon as you get off the ship to avoid the crowds. We had no wait time, but the lines were quite long when we finished. Total time was about 2 hours. Well worth the price and seemed to be no lower age limit nor any upper weight limit.

We also rented a Kayak and four person peddle boat at Mahogany Beach. Got lots of pics of the cabanas. After most passengers had returned to the ship I enjoyed Conch and chips at the Seafood place at the far end of the beach; Nice, but not quite as tasty as Conch in Key West. Our time in Roatan was extended until 7:00PM with a return to ship time of 6:30. My guess is that it was to allow the channel dredging to continue longer; have pics of that too.

As we were ready to leave Mahogany Beach we discovered a Sony Digital cam corder on our chair that wasn't ours. Everyone near us was gone so I checked the videos and recognized some kids that were getting their pictures taken on turtles behind our chairs about an hour earlier. I think there's also a phone number recorded, but it's too small to see on the preview. I'll check it out further and get it back to it's owners somehow. As I looked at the lost camera laying there I kept thinking of the threads on Cruise Critic of people who either lost or found cameras and honestly wasn't looking forward to being involved in one of those hunts; I will invest what ever time and effort it takes to see that it's returned, but I really wish I had more faith in a lost and found for the beach area. I will give them the info at the pursors' desk and see if they'll cross match the number with passenger contact info.

While we were disembarking we listened in on conversations about a fellow passenger who had an MI and died on a diving excursion yesterday in Cozumel. I am hoping it was just unfounded rumors. Several passengers were sharing info they heard, but it was the first we had heard of it.

Right now we're getting showered and preparing for sail away. Plans for the evening include a spa thermal suites visit and some revenge at the casino since they took back the $200 I won, and since Karen and I both lost in the BlackJack tournament. Previous attempts at revenge have been unsuccessful, but perhaps this is the time! :D

Loving the comments.

Please raise a dod for all of us here. Do it. :) We will know if you don't.

Have fun!

LegalWife,

I shall do so!

Would love to see pics of your cabin and balcony.

We have the same one on May 1st!

FlipFlops,

I will begin uploading once we return to Port Canaveral and then finish on Sunday afternoon April 11. I'm not sure how many pics total I will upload, but I took 380 on once camera and 242 on another camera today so far and still have a few hours left; Yes, I take a lot of pics! There will be plenty of cabin and balcony pics to get a feel for how it's laid out from every angle inside and out.

Gail,

I got pics of that cabin and some of the balcony as well on Saturday prior to being allowed to our cabins. ;) I'll make sure and get them online and labled for you.

Britt is nine now so he's in the 9-11 year old group. He's picking and choosing like always and spending quite a bit of time there.

You will be as much of a hero to those passengers as you are here on CC with your faboo reviews. :) :)

. . . and the good karma points you earn in the process might just find their way following you to the casino. I hope so!! :D

Oh, and Paul . . . if you happen to be reading this later, I'm suggesting that you and you family definitely enjoy any future planned visits to the Mongolian station, but DO NOT allow them to transfer your cooked food into the bowls they have behind their wok station. Take a second bowl with you from the beginning of the line (where you are selecting your items), and demand that they use your second bowl for delivering your cooked food back to you.

Please trust me on this one. It's an unfortunate issue with this ship.

I sure hope I find them quick! Any Karma that helps at the casino is much appreciated. :D

Don,

I read about your experience while we were in Port Canaveral and thank you for reminding me of why I was avoiding the Mongolian station and especially for providing the work around. ;) We started to get food there yesterday, but I told Karen we couldn't, but I couldn't remember exactly why! Now we can get some and enjoy it.

CD just announced that we'll be delayed leaving Roatan because the Princess ship in front of us is being held due to high winds. Winds are currently 25 knots. Dunno nor really care when we'll leave.

The last announcement indicated we may leave Roatan at 2:00AM. We're due at Anchor in Belize at 7:00AM. It's a short trip so we may make it assuming we actually sail at 2:00AM.

I had those DOD mentioned earlier; EXCELLENT! :D
