Car rental question FLL to POM with overnight

4 adults flying into FLL day before cruise from POM. Staying at Mariott Biscayne Bay. Which rental companies have shuttle to POM? I see most have offices in South Beach, is this the best place to return and take shuttle to the port? Or?

Avis, Hertz and Enterprise all have downtown Miami locations that will be closer to POM and your hotel than Miami Beach; if they do not offer a shuttle, a cab should run about $10.

Instead of renting a car, why not shuttle from FLL to your hotel? SAS (www.ridesas.com) and others can make this run for about $16 per person - and you'd avoid the parking fee and hassel of returning your car. They can also transport you back from POM to FLL after your cruise. A cab from your hotel to POM will also run about $10-12.

Walk 2 blocks from your hotel to 18th and Biscayne and eat at Bin 18 - great food and an extensive wine and beer list! Good luck!:)
