VentureForth Posted April 7, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 7, 2010 Despite the big huge signs that emphasize that porters at Port Canaveral are salaried and that tipping is not required, I still see these guys with dollar bills hanging from various pockets on their body like they worked at a strip tease. Do y'all tip in spite of the signs? What sort of service would you expect to improve if you DO tip? Or worse, what can you possibly expect if you DON'T? Rare crewsweeper Posted April 7, 2010 #4 Share Posted April 7, 2010 Buck a bag. That's a 10 spot for us given DW's need for 3 outfits for every pair of shoes and 2 cases of shoes:D:D On departure, if your'e on a shuttle, your bags can disappear before the porter knows which are yours, so you might be able to sneak away. But on return, if the porter helps you find your bags, gets a cart and rolls it out to the parking lot for the shuttle or taxi, a tip is well earned.
