iPhone apps for cruisers

I just found free apps from Celebrity and Royal Caribbean -- have downloaded but not investigated them much. Anyone else tried them? Any comments?

I love the Celebrity one. It will pull up your deck plans, etc. It's great. Just love my iphone!!

Have been investigating the app a little further and find that the cruise departure dates are wrong, so I think I'm sorry I mentioned it on this board. Can this app really be from Celebrity? Further research necessary.

It looks like it's from a specific travel agency

I think this App is still a work in progress. When I downloaded it a couple of weeks ago, it only had deck plans and a link to the full Celebrity web site.

The last app update added cruise dates.

 

Unfortunately, for some US cruises, they evidently presume a UK departure by air the day before, so the starting dates are "off". Not all cruises, though...

 

It's a little annoying that this was produced (and marked in many places!) by a UK cruise agency. I would have hoped for a lower-profile agency marking given the app is otherwise presumed as though Celebrity-produced. I didn't look at the now corresponding RCL app, I'd bet it is a parallel app. I don't begrudge the agency their references, just a little too forward to my liking given no interest in UK agencies for me.

 

But having the deck plans is still helpful.

I too think it was produced by a specific UK TA as when I last downloaded the update there was a special advertised in GB pounds

Thanks for letting me know about this. The main thing I was wanting was deck plans and these are great.
