Palm-Breeze Posted April 9, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 9, 2010 I'm booked for a cruise next year on the Miracle for the Grand Turk/Catalina Island/Curacao/Aruba itin and when I try to check out the available excursions on Carnival's website it says there are no excursions for the last 3 ports. Anyone know why? Anyone been to these places before and can offer some ideas for us?
mrpayroll Posted April 9, 2010 #2 Share Posted April 9, 2010 Since the cruise is so far away, the excursions are not listed. This has happened to us when we book way far in advance. Just keep checking and they will pop up...
elcuchio24 Posted April 9, 2010 #3 Share Posted April 9, 2010 They won't show up until about 90 days before you cruise. Sometime ports won't show options til 60 days before the cruise date. Just keep checking.....
elcuchio24 Posted April 9, 2010 #4 Share Posted April 9, 2010 You can still go to the carnival site and see all the tours offered at each port, you just won't be able to book them yet. You can choose what you want to do so when you are close enough to book you'll know what you want.
Crazy4Koko Posted April 9, 2010 #5 Share Posted April 9, 2010 frustrating, isn't it?! I've been browsing the port of call boards for ideas.... but it so hard to wait!!
Palm-Breeze Posted April 9, 2010 Author #6 Share Posted April 9, 2010 Thanks for the responses! I guess I'll just have to be patient! I'm a planning freak and like to know things far in advance.:p I'll spend some time on the port of call boards until then. elcuchio24 Posted April 9, 2010 #7 Share Posted April 9, 2010 I had all the excursions planned out about 6 months before I could book them:) Hold on, the time goes quicker if you spend time on CC!

Not true, the Carnival site does not show any tours for the newer Southern Carribbean route to Curacao & Aruba....so it is not due to being too far out to book...it is simply not loaded into Carnival's website at all. I think that is what the OP was asking about....there are NONE to view at all yet....surely they will be determined and input into their site for booking as well as perusing! iluvcruisin2 Posted April 10, 2010 #9 Share Posted April 10, 2010 We're booked on the Legend for 7/4/10. Excursions are available for Cozumel, Belize, and Grand Cayman on the website. Already booked Belize...wanted to book Roatan through Carnival also, but all of those are missing. Is that unusual that 3 out of 4 ports are available? I emailed Carnival to see if there was a website problem, but so far no response.
GinDon Posted April 10, 2010 #10 Share Posted April 10, 2010 I e-mailed Carnival last week (shoreexcursions@Carnival.com) to ask about shore excursions. Want to do a BioBay tour in San Juan, and all that was listed was two golf tours. I got a reply the next day, saying it was too early (we cruise early Nov) and that the excursions would be listed as time got closer. Guess we'll all just have to keep checking............ DiveCruiser Posted April 10, 2010 #11 Share Posted April 10, 2010 Try ShoreTrips.com they do a fine job at a lot lower price for the same trips.
*jess* Posted April 10, 2010 #12 Share Posted April 10, 2010 I was looking, just to browse several different ports, and it didn't show excursions for anything. In fact a different page entirely comes up when you're looking. So.....???

Because the Legend itinerary changed (Belize and Roatan were flipped days), they are still working with their tour companies to rearrange the excursions. 84 days!! Can't wait! comeon530 Posted April 11, 2010 #14 Share Posted April 11, 2010 A month or so ago, there were a bunch of excursions for Aruba/Curacao/DR. I printed them out. At that time they said that they were only available onboard. I noticed yesterday that they had added a few for Aruba, but I can only see them when logged in and looking at my cruise. Hopefully, they will all reappear soon!
