Ever take an airboat ride?

One of our stops on our cruise in July is Port Canaveral and we are planning on taking the "Ultimate Wilderness" excursion which includes an air boat ride.

Just wondering on your experience if you've taken one. Is this something you can take your camera on? Do you see much wildlife?

After disembarking the Crown in December I had a 3:00 flight so took the ship's air boat excursion. Great for pictures...saw so many different birds and several alligators.

The ride was about an hour after half hour bus from Pt C.

After air boat, went to a very nice botanical garden nearby for a two hour tour. Then the bus dropped all at their respective airlines at the airport. I thought it was a great way to end the cruise. (BTW, your luggage is on the bus with you) Hope this helps. :p

When we did the Everglades the animals hung around even as the boats zipped by. They are so used to the noise. At one stop we made to get closer to the alligators, two birds that our "driver" befriended hopped on the boat. He regularly would give them a bite of bread.
