onthehighseas606 Posted April 13, 2010 #7 Share Posted April 13, 2010 Any cabin you would not pick to stay in and why ???? I would never ever pick an inside cabin even if it were a free cruise. I would never pick a porthole cabin, or an obstructed view cabin. I would never pick a cabin under or over a lounge.
iamsteph Posted April 13, 2010 #8 Share Posted April 13, 2010 7326 If we're being specific, I wouldn't pick any cabin numbered 5309. Cause then I'd get 867-5309 stuck in my head every time I looked for my room in the hallway.

timh111 Posted April 13, 2010 #10 Share Posted April 13, 2010 Any cabin AFT and mid-decks down. Because of the vibration from the engine room and if your in choppy seas, the AFT has a tendency to rise out of the water slightly and the props (or Azipods) cause a serious vibration in the AFT section. Try to stay mid-ship and on a mid-deck and you'll be OK!!
Mystictig Posted April 14, 2010 #11 Share Posted April 14, 2010 Any room under the treadmills in the fitness center. From 6am to 10pm you get the thud thud thud thud noise from above. Booked a spa room on the Dream before we saw the final deck plans and had no clue that the Spa rooms were right under it. We assumed (big mistake) that carnival would not do that. Outside of that everything is always great on our carnival vacations (one more till number 10!)
lillian marie Posted April 14, 2010 #12 Share Posted April 14, 2010 A balcony cabin next to a drunk fighting couple. Just kidding, but we had one on one cruise where we thought the neighbors might be tossing each other over the balcony before the end of the cruise. Divorce would have been a real positive for this couple. They were table mates with us too and were pleasant. They just fought every night after drinking. mudpievelour Posted April 14, 2010 #16 Share Posted April 14, 2010 Right over lounge, disco or casino. Also right up front on the first 4 decks unless you plan on staying in the lounge until the shows are over. Also right up front on first 4 decks so you don't have to listen to the anchor. Mid ship is best IMHO even if it's right over the shops. Never any noise from below.
missdebi Posted April 14, 2010 #17 Share Posted April 14, 2010 Cabin #299 on the Fantasy class ships-they may also be on the larger ships but I am not sure-these are the inside cabins beside the elevators-

laumicmah Posted April 14, 2010 #21 Share Posted April 14, 2010 Last cruise was a connecting cabin-will never do that again(unless my family is in the connecting). I didn't realize when I booked it. I could hear the couple in the other room very clearly. Thankfully, they were only loud during the day and quiet at night (except for a little while on the last night). I always look for a midship OV cabin that is not under or above any public places(I make sure there's a cabin above us and below us).
Lady_Jag Posted April 14, 2010 #22 Share Posted April 14, 2010 E181 on Fantasy class ships. It's a category 1A. Our friend had this cabin on the Inspiration, and every morning at 4:30am, he was awakened to the sound of BLURB BLUB GURGLE BLUB from his shower drain bubbling up. (The cabin is next to a storage closet with a lot of pipes, which could have had something to do with it.) After multiple calls to Guest Services, and several visits from maintenance, he was told there was nothing that could be done.
