Salmon fishing in Ketchikan, last week in May.

So does anyone have any info or advice about salmon fishing in Ketchikan on the last week in May? I see that it is the start of the peak season. Does anyone have a charter they have used and recommend? Does anyone know of cheap or cheaper places to vacuum pack and freeze the fish then the charters? The prices I saw range from $1.60 - $4.50 per pound, ouch. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you.

No cheap way out of your fish prep. :) My family has gone with Northern Lights the most and have had consistant excellent fishing trips. Processing and shipping have run us in the $100 range.
