port arrival time?

I just got an email from my TA, alerting me to the time change for embarkation of the Carnival Pride out of Baltimore in two weeks (May2-9). As most of you know, they've changed it from 5:30 to 4:30. So, my question is, what time do you seasoned cruisers suggest a newbie arrive at the Port of Baltimore? I have already filled out all necessary paperwork online (as least those that are available online), except for my credit card info. I'd like to get on the ship as soon as possible, but don't want to spend hours on end sitting in the port (travelling with my 3yo DS that will need to be occupied while waiting). I was planning on arriving at around 12:30 before the time change, so I was thinking maybe 11:30? Does that sound reasonable? Thanks in advance!

I'd get there around 11:30...if they aren't boarding right then, it won't be long! There will be enough going on around you that your 3 year old will be ok!

I would ask your TA what time the ship will allow you to board the ship and what time they will open the cabins. Sometimes they don't open the cabins up until later d/t cleaning procedures.
