terrymtex01 Posted April 22, 2010 #4 Share Posted April 22, 2010 Doug and I were very sad to read of Simone resigning from the Star. She was one-of-a-kind in our books. She set the bar for all other Concierge. She and her husband, Chef Andreas, make an adorable couple and I wish them wonderful success. Cruising on the Star without Simone just will not have the luster that is had in days past. Doug and I knew the day would come when Simone would move on to a new chapter in her life, we just had hoped to sail with her one more time. I was speaking to Andrea in January, I thought he just joined NCL from a hotel chain and I know they just got married. Whats up are they both leaving? CornMuffinsMama Posted April 23, 2010 #8 Share Posted April 23, 2010 I'm so sad to hear that. One of the first things people here told me when I joined the board after signing up for an Alaska cruise on the Star was how much we'd like Simone. I've so been looking forwards to meeting her after all the good things I've heard about her here. :(
LJH1 Posted April 23, 2010 #9 Share Posted April 23, 2010 Belkys was nice ,but she is no Simone.. I agree with you, I know you had her in January. Belkys is ok but I think she lacks personality.

She told us she was leaving 4/17. Andreas is staying with NCL. Belkeys has a different personality, but is a very nice lady.

Whats up are they both leaving? Chef Andreas is a doll and a very funny and nice guy. He and Simone make an adorable couple. He has actually been with the Star since our first sailing on her November of 08. I'm not for sure how long he had been aboard before that. big green Posted April 23, 2010 #17 Share Posted April 23, 2010 Belkys just left the Spirit and is on vacation--unless she cancelled--which i doubt--- Erika Heim has also quit NCL right after she married 9 confrimed in an email from her from India) BG
tdcjerry Posted April 23, 2010 #18 Share Posted April 23, 2010 She left NCL. She was great, and I guess all that tip money from her great service will get her a early retirement and time to start a family.
swedish weave Posted April 23, 2010 #19 Share Posted April 23, 2010 She was great, and I guess all that tip money from her great service will get her a early retirement and time to start a family. A rather insensitive remark, I would say.
big green Posted April 23, 2010 #20 Share Posted April 23, 2010 A rather insensitive remark, I would say. Why is that insensitive--probably a reality--fact of life-- BG
LJH1 Posted April 23, 2010 #21 Share Posted April 23, 2010 A rather insensitive remark, I would say. Sorry but I disagree with you and see nothing wrong with the comment, as BG said it's probably fact and if so good for her!
tdcjerry Posted April 23, 2010 #22 Share Posted April 23, 2010 A rather insensitive remark, I would say. I got lucky and retired at 44 years old, I had the chance and took it, now I take cruises, golf 4 or 5 days a week and have seen both kids finish collage. Simone say the brass ring and took it, good for her.

swedish weave Posted April 23, 2010 #25 Share Posted April 23, 2010 Maybe I misinterpreted the comment. She isn't retiring, and I doubt that the tips would be sufficient to allow her to retire in any case. I will apologize for my error.
