Are we sure we have enough interest to qualify for an Official CC Cruise:eek::eek::eek:

 

We have waited a long time to get this started and there is still a LOOOOONG Wait ahead

Sorry for this stupid question, but DH and I where just discussing this cruise since the itn. has been confirmed.

 

We have cruised the bahamas and been to Florida many times in Jan and Feb. On average ( I know you can't predict weather) should it be warm in these ports late Jan early Feb?

I've lived in South Florida since 72. Usually during January and February, (you can't count this last winter....it was the coldest I've ever experienced here) it's t-shirt weather during the day and a light sweater at night. This past winter, our heating bill was almost as much as our August/September A/C bill runs...the houses here aren't insulated for consistent weather in the 30's & 40's. Normally, about every 7-10 days we will get a cool front move through and we will wear a long sleeve shirt or light jacket during the day. Occasionally some colder weather (40's) will come through. Okay all you northerners can stop laughing now!! :p Some in this area turn the heat on when it's in the 60's!!

 

Orlando and Tampa get much cooler weather than West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale & Miami. The fronts seem to stall or fizz out just south of Orlando.

 

So for me...January & February is usually when I turn the A/C off and and open the windows at home. It's when I take full advantage of my sun roof in my car! :rolleyes: It's the type of weather that makes everyone want to move here.:cool:

 

Hopefully since there are so many of us interested in the cruise, it won't take to long to hear from Laura and Johna.

(Deep breathe here) Okay. Looks like we have to choose January 29, 2012. It will be the week that lets us use the least amount of vacation days - Sunday to Monday.

 

I am sooooo sorry that we can't have a date that will work for every single one of you that want to go with us. :( Like Sandy (Luckysll) says...never say never....it's a long way off and you never know, it could just work out for you yet. :)

 

I'll shoot an email off to Laura to see if we can't get this show on the road!

Thanks for the welcome Debbie and Doug - looks like quite the group for sure! I've heard so many stories from Allan and Bill that I'm not sure whether to be "afraid of" or "amazed" at all your "Wait'in" adventures. :D

I'm up for the challenge though :).

 

Cobra1365 (Mike & Sandy) - Grand Turk is the only port I've been to on this itinerary as well. Absolutely loved it. Nice mix of destinations on this cruise.

 

DougD - Good to see another Doug onboard! As you've travelled with the group before, I defer to your seniority - thus; I can be 'Doug Junior'. (if nothing else it makes me feel younger).

 

With this many people, it could be quite the cabin crawl too! :eek:

Didn't get to have the cabin crawl on my group, looking forward to one here! The SPIRITERS were a small group looking forward to experience a large group setting.

 

The SPIRITERS definetely like the 1 hour prepaid cocktail party. Good way to get to meet everyone and just say hello. Looking forward to meeting everyone and hopefully some of the SPIRITERS will join too! There are a few that are interested.

 

I have never been to any of these ports and I am on a quests to experience all the Spirit class ships. Two grand ladies down, two more to go!
