How do I reach the "Roll Call"?

Thanks

Over on the same page where you found the boards. Scroll down and you should find Roll Calls and just search until you find Sun Princess for April 8.

Rehabber -- We booked our tour in Grenada through Sunsation Tours, not a ship tour. They met us at the dock and we had a great tour. We rarely do ship tours because they are more expensive and found we can do better on our own booking ahead or just getting a cab at ports. Sunsation tours does have a website, grenadasunsation.com or there is also a good website on Grenada, grenadaexplorer.com They offer several tours and will design it to accommodate what you want to see.

Morning all Sun Cruisers!

Anne,

You're welcome. It really is a great review and brings back many fond memories when I see it.

I truly cannot believe how popular this thread has become. I think it's because of how it makes you feel like your sailing when you read it. I find myself checking it out every morning and I think that's the appeal to everyone else as well.

It looks like it'll be here for a long time...

mtljr, Thanks, I will check it out. The ship tours were pretty neat last cruise on the Horizon, so I just figured do the same. I also read that the cab drivers in Grenada are aggressive for business so knowing a price ahead is a good tip.

Thanks

I would love to get a copy of Anne's review and anyone else that has done one. I am heading out on March 19th. Can't believe that it is so near. I have only reserved one excursion. These are all new islands for me except for St Thomas so it should really be fun. Love those new experiences. So all and any of this info really helps. eclecticlady@carolina.rr.com

Thanks

Margaret

Host Anne,

Thanks for the great review - straightforward, positive and realistic and I like your attitude - it sure makes a difference in the level of enjoyment when you look at things with a positive attitude.

Looking forward to our cruise on the 19th - may even try my hand at a review from a newbie's perspective.

We just got off the Sun Yesterday! We had a great time! We had nice weather sunny everyday except for the last few days Tuesday we missed Princess Cays cause the seas were rough and captain decided to cancel for safety reasons! We were a little disappointed but it was nice having another sea day too but it was in the 70's and cloudy that was ok with me cause living in the northeast its better than snow! When we go off the ship yesterday it was cloudy and raining but we were on our way home so it was ok too. Ship was very nice food good and loved all the shows on board too. We loved listening to Glenn in one of the lounges too. The room steward was great too. We were on Plaza deck and loved having an outside room this time it was our first time for an outside room so it was so nice looking out at everything. ok thats all for now just wanted u to know how it was last week. I did not get a chance to go online on the ship sorry about that! We had a great time and wished we were still on board! ha ha! I miss the buffets too ha ha! Bye for now Linda

Had a wonderful cruise onboard the Sun Princess wk of 2/27. We met a lot of very nice people & had lots of fun. The ship is beautiful. The food was excellent as well as the service. We had 1st. seating & booked a table for 6, but only 1 other couple was there. Had a great time talking with them every night. Our waiter was from Portugal & was very efficient, also his assistant & bus boy. We had an i/s room on Aloha deck & never once had any bad smells as previously mentioned in some threads. We had sunny skies for almost the entire cruise. We did miss Princess Cays due to rough seas but had another day to lay by pool. By afternoon, it got quite overcast & cool, so it was time to come in & do other things, like the casino, shopping, snacking, etc. The only bad episode was trying to disembark at St. Vincent. They put everybody in the Marquis Dining Rm. & then said they would let people out by the way they came into the room, but it got so jumbled up & starting taking people who has just come in instead of those that had been there for some time. Everyone finally got off but could have been handled much better. The shows were good, some much better than others. We even went to a movie one night. Would have been wonderful to have popcorn available.:D We ate at the Pizzeria about 3 times, twice for snacks, & once for lunch. It was good. We met the Cruise Critic group that signed on to the roll call & had a fun sailaway meeting everyone that we had corresponded with previously. We had dinner at the Sterling Steakhouse 1 night with 4 other couples from the Cruise Critic group & had an enjoyable time. Everyone was very easy to associate with & we thank them for letting us join in on their group. We also booked another cruise while onboard for next year on the Sea Princess. I'm sure everyone going on this ship in near future will have a wonderful cruise.

We too just returned from the Sun Princess. Sorry that I did not get a chance to post while onboard, but as those who saw me on the cruise (I was the one with the super sweet but rambunctious 20-month old little girl) can attest, I did not have a whole lot of free time. I also want to apologize for missing the sail-away, but our daughter chose that time to nap, so we did not disturb her.

All in all it was a really nice cruise, better than our experience on the Grand last year. The Sun class ships are so much better laid out. We spent a great deal of our time in "The Fun Zone" for the kids with our daughter. Even though she does not qualify for the Princess Pelicans, we were allowed to use the youth center as long as one of us stayed there with her. She had a blast there and it made our cruise much easier.

We were a bit disappointed to miss Princess Cays, but as others can attest, the weather wasn't very good. The wind was really moving that day. Other than that, we had great weather. I would also agree that St. Vincent isn't the greatest port, but it had nothing to do with disembarkation, I just though that it wasn't up to the level of the other ports we visited. Our most pleasant suprise was Martinique. Fort-de-France was a beatiful little city to stroll around it.

Staff was great and I really need to put in a good word for our steward, Rubio, who always had our little girl's stuffed animals neatly arranged at night and to the folks at Room service who went out of their way to help us with anything we needed (we split dining with my parents, so the half of the time that we didn't go to the dining room and were watching our daughter, they'd bring us the full dinner menu to our room).

Other general comments: Ship is in good shape. Did not notice any "sewage smell" as has been stated. Agree that Horizon court perhaps not as much selection in past, but quality I thought was pretty good. Pizza was good. Lobster was excellent...
