Renaissance Downtown Vancouver

Has anyone ever stayed here? We are currently booked for 2 nights prior to our June cruise on the Serenade. The locations seems to be great, just wanted some opinions - we are Marriott loyal, so it's this or the Pinnacle. Thanks.

We stayed there 3 years ago and it is a good hotel - nothing fancy but a clean hotel with friendly service. It is about 2-3 blocks from Canada Place/Pan Pacific. It is a little farther to the majority of restaurants and shopping in DT Vancouver (about 5 blocks away) but still in a good location. We ate at the hotel for breakfast and it was fine.

 

Ask about a room with a view. We had a room that had sliding doors and you could walk out on a small balcony type area and watch the ships come in.

 

The funny thing about the hotel was that they don't have a lot of storage at the hotel so when we dropped off our luggage (they didn't have our room ready yet), they used bicycle locks to lock the luggage in the lobby.

Stayed there twice--- got a great deal on Priceline the second time around.

Ask for a harbor view-- you can see the ships come in and depart too. Used HelloBC the first time and got a few extras thrown in---- thats were I learned about the view----

Nice buffet breakfast and nice bar -----heated tile bathroom floors were a nice touch
