Parking at Long Beach Pier

Does anyone know if the parking lot for the Long Beach pier is in walking distance to the Carnival check in? Is it true that parking there is $15/day?

Yes, walking distance to the check in. First, you drive up and hand off your check-in luggage to a porter. THEN you drive around and into the parking structure (with only carry on, if any).

 

You can also drop off children (with an adult obviously) or any special needs, elderly, etc. and then walk alone (what I mean, is let's say that you're a family, with kids and grandma. Drop them, drop luggage, park, then walk back to meet them. No need for everyone to walk if it's easier to drop others first)

 

And yes, $15 a day (quite high), and no there is no off-site, less expensive option. They got you. :(

Can you park for an hour or less at the port. I want to check in and then go drop off my rental car. Im guessing that there is paking for the queen mary that I could use.

The Queen Mary also charges $15 to park a car there. Perhaps it is the same parking structure??
