alagirl Posted May 10, 2010 #52 Share Posted May 10, 2010 Thanks TexasCruzrs for the info on Olga. Sounds as if there are two special women named Olga from Russia that are totally different people. But each special to others. Thanks again for help.
FloridaGators Posted May 11, 2010 Author #53 Share Posted May 11, 2010 TexasCruzrs,You talked about Olga from Russia, We had someone on our cruise on The Fantasy. Her name was Olga. She was the Casino Host, and she was from Russia. She moved after that to Princess, I believe to be a dealer in the Casino. She was wonderful to us. And she was just so sweet and a very beautiful young lady. She was short, had curly hair and sometimes wore glasses. Do you possibly have a picture of her and have any more info about her? Would love to hear from her again. She was engaged to someone that worked on the Fantasy with her, I believe his name was Joey. They broke up and that is when she went home to Russia. Then came back to the Princess. Thanks Here is the picture of "our" Olga......is she the same one?

InEEDofAcruise Posted May 12, 2010 #55 Share Posted May 12, 2010 Hey Texas,.. Can you tell me how long of a walk it is from the pier to the Hemmingway house (not cruise tour, I am told it is $12 or $14 pp at the door)? I would like to take my father and see this site, but he is a older, heavy man and I am not sure he can handle much more than a 10 min walk. Also, do you know how long of a walk to the "most southern point of the US" that I have seen so much in pictures... I would like to see and get a picture of this as well! Day 3 - Key West What a beautiful day!! We docked at Mallory Square at 10:00 a.m. We signed up for the “Hemmingway House & History Tour”. It was listed as a 2.5 hour walking tour. We we gone at least 3 hours…..but we had a wonderful guide named Robert and he told us stories all along the way. We saw the Truman White House; the Lighthouse; and had a tour inside the Hemmingway House. There are currently 47 cats in residence. Our tour ended at Capt. Tony’s Bar. We searched for the red bra left by Stitch on the last Crazies cruise, but didn’t find it…….where did you leave that Stitch? We came back to the ship and ordered room service sandwiches around 3:00 p.m. If you decide to do this walking tour….pack your tennis shoes and socks. I was very glad that I did. Sail away was at 6:00 p.m. and they were still calling for one couple right up until the time we left. Don’t know if they made it or not. Dinner tonight….Bill and I both had the French Onion Soup and a Shrimp Cocktail. Yum! Bill had the Mahi Mahi and I had the Jerk Pork. Both were very good. Tonight the waiters danced to “Low, Low, Low”……and of course I had to get up and dance with them. We’ve talked with many people who said they spent most of yesterday in their cabins because they weren’t feeling well. A lot of folks said they had never seen it that rough before. Tonight we talked with a couple who said that several people got off today in Key West and were renting cars to drive home because of how rough it was yesterday. Tomorrow we dock in Freeport, Grand Bahama at 8:00 a.m.
SCRUFFYCRUISER Posted May 13, 2010 #56 Share Posted May 13, 2010 Hi, TexasCruzrs. Our itinerary on the Triumph will be similar to yours and I'm wondering if the Port side was the better side of the ship as far as scenery? Have never booked a balcony before but plan to do so for this cruise (Key West, Nassau & Freeport). I want to get the best view for my buck! Thanks. Caymus Posted May 21, 2010 #57 Share Posted May 21, 2010 TexasCruzrs: I understand the cabins on the spa deck are not covered. We are booked in cabin 1111 right underneath the mini-golf. Did you like the uncovered balconies ? Was there any benefit of staying in the spa cabins rather than the Panorama deck besides fewer cabins ? We are thinking about moving down to the Panorama deck so that we would have more shade and more privacy (no one able to look down upon us). Thoughts ? Thanks !
