Hi all

Can anyone advise how far the train station is from the Royal Caribbean Pier in La Seyne Sur Mer ?

Are there regular trains from La Seyne sur mer to Cassis ? Or what is the best way of travelling to Cassis from La Seyne sur mer ?

Thanks

Hi all

It's about 2 km from the Port area (Maritime area):

SNCF Seyne Sur-Mer

Chemin de la Petite Garenne,

83500 La Seyne-sur-Mer, France‎

Yes, from Seyne Sur-mer you can take a train to Cassis. The trains seem to run avery 30 min. or so, just check the specific day and times at:

www.SNCF.com (from La Seyne to Cassis)

For example, there is one train leaving La Seyne at 7:28am and arriving in Cassis almost 30 min. later at 7:56am.

One way ticket for 1 adult is listed now at 6.60 € (2nd class; where TER is the type of train used- local).

It appears that the larger Royal Caribbean ships will be docking in La Seyne sur Mer rather than in Toulon. Does anyone know if there is a nice beach close to the port in La Seyne sur Mer? At the end of a hectic cruise we fancy a relaxing beach day. Thanks :)

There are couple of options - most of the closest beaches are located in Toulon (i.e. Plage du Mourillon very close to the port area), Bandol (main beaches here: The Plage du Lido, Plage du Casino and the Plage de Rènecros), Sanary-sur-mer and Six Fours les Plages .

It's easy to Google any of them for specific details that interest you, including how to get there from Seyne-sur-mer.

Bobal, how did you find out that the Voyager will be docking in La Seyne sur Mer? I am on the Voyager/Med this month and until just a couple days ago I still thought it was porting in Marseille. Then I read this week that the port is listed as Toulon. I need to figure out where it will dock on June 26th.

I plan to just hit a beach that day and take it easy too.

Ahhh, disregard. I see that the Voyager class ships are too large for Toulon and are therefore docking in La Seyne sur Mer. Not finding much info... May do Plage Sablettes or just wander off the ship and then back on.

We were there yesterday! Rented a car and drove to Aix and then to a winery. Very nice. It was very confusing for us to figure out why we were not told that we'd be in Toulon, where we had a car rented. Instead the car rental sent a driver to pick us up and take us to our car. Another couple was in the same predicament. We were both angry to lose precious time.

Which car rental did you use in Toulon? I have booked with Hertz and they said they will not deliver to the port, I guess I'll call again and ask them if they will send a car to get us.

Sixt Car Rental

I don't think any car rental agencies will deliver the car to the port. What they do is called a "Meet and Greet". They meet you at the port, drive you to the rental place, where you pick up your car. The advantage is at the END of the day you drop off the car at the port. Saves tons of time and is so convenient.
