Cruises affected by oil spill

Does anyone know what cruise cancellations there are due to the oil spill in the Gulf?

Cruises coming out of New Orleans and Galveston. It may eventually affect Tampa. You'd need to check the cruiselines to get specifics.

No cruises are affected as of yet. Im leaving this Saturday out of New Orleans, which has two washing stations set up in case the oil gets into the Mississippi, but its not there yet. The winds are blowing away from Galveston, so, so far, no effect. Mobile is the other most likely affected cruise port, which only Carnival cruises from.

 

In my opinion, people cruising from ports even further away and worrying are jumping the gun. Don't worry about something that may turn out not to be a problem for your cruise.

 

Our roll call has been watching the forecasts pretty closely naturally.
