Are there "regular" taxi's available (non-open air)

We are wanting to go to Magen's Bay with our 2 young children, and do not want to take one of the open air safari type taxi's. Are there regular car or van type taxi's available at the dock that we can use? What about on the return?

Thanks!

When we left the cruise terminal some of the open-air taxis had indoor seating in the actual "truck" part with the driver.

I specifically remember this because we were originally seated in there and then were asked by the driver if we would get out and move to the back (open-air part) because there was a family with young children that they were putting up front inside.

If my memory serves me right, the inside seating, was similar to that of 4-door pick-up, so you would be able to squeeze three people into the rear and then someone could sit next to the driver.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for that info! I never thought about utilizing the cab (inside) portion of the truck, that's a great idea. I was going to book with Henry Christopher but then decided against it becuase of hte open air safari buses. But, now I think I'll email him and ask if we can use the cab/inside part of the truck.

Thanks again

Good - I hope it works out for you. Also, if you have a stroller or extra bags, they can just put them in back in the open air part. That is what they did with the other family I mentioned above.

Hope you have a great day in St. Thomas!!

We like the open air taxis but when we were in St. Thomas in February there were many more minivan type taxis available at Havensight than open air ones. I don't think that youn will have any problem getting a closed van type taxi to take where you want to go.
