Trip Insurance - Who has filed a claim?

Hello, all!

 

We are debating which company to book our travel insurance through and would very much like to know from those who have had need of filing a claim, (1) which company you filed with, and (2) were you pleased with the results?

I've had to file claims with Access America and Travel Guard and they were both great.

 

The problem most people have when they file a claim and have problems getting their refunds is just one: they don't read the instructions for filing a claim and they therefore don't do everything the company requires. Say, for instance, they require you to send copies of ALL your medical documents, and you don't do that, then your claim will be delayed. Make sure when filing a claim that you dot every i and cross every t and give them all the documentation they ask for.

Have used Access America and had to make a claim 2002 when DH's mother died a few days before we were to fly to Montreal for a few days before our Canada/New England cruise. We got back everything except the insurance money.
