We sailed the Legend in February. We absolutely loved the ship. What to avoid? If you eat at the steak house, don't order the lobster. Don't board hungry and expect a table in the lido area.(unless you get there early) We went to the sportsbar, and chilled. Don't miss tea on the sea days, a wonderful treat. Plan something to do in everyport, and have a back choice. And there is no reason to do everything on a ship that's offered. Have some down time, and have a wonderful time.:)

Eat in the MDR for as many meals as you can.

The Legend is the most elegant-looking ship I've been on. So much detail in the decor. Lots of places to sit and relax, both inside and out. The crew was by far one of the most friendliest. Don't miss the production show The Big Easy - fabulous!!

I just 'got' your screen name and saw your 'transplant,' note.

Celebrate your transplant anywhere and everywhere ! My husband, who was also on dialysis, received a kidney transplant six years ago; just three days after his 65th birthday. When people used to ask what he wanted for Christmas, birthdays etc. He always answered, " A new kidney." What a blessing it was to receive that special phone call, " We have a kidney, do you want it?"

We were on the Legend, Feb. 7-14, 2010. Here's a link to the detailed review I posted upon our return, if you want to read it.

Keep popping those pills each day, and enjoy your new life because that is just what a transplant represents.

Yeah, my wife got a kidney on Dec 21st.....What an amazing Christmas present!!!! We live in MD, so there was that huge snow storm, I shoveled every 4 hrs in hopes that we would get "the call" on Sunday, it was sunny and I was just finished shoveling when she walked out and said there was a kidney for her....I almost dropped to the ground!!!! Just thinking about it now, I get shivers!!! Greatest gift EVER!!!!! She is 26 and this was her 2nd, really hoping this one lasts A LOT longer!

I'm sailing on the Legend next week and have reservations at the steak house. I was looking forward to ordering the lobster so please tell me why I shouldn't order it. Thanks!

What a FANTASTIC Christmas gift! Congratulations!!

We've cruised "Legend" a lot, and have her booked again for this Fall. Love the ship, crew, and especially the entertainment! You won't go wrong sailing aboard "Legend". I honestly can't think of any negatives aboard the ship. Main thing is to go aboard, relax, and enjoy the cruise. Don't try to do everything, as it'll wear you out, and you don't need that. Besides, if you don't do everything, you'll have a GREAT excuse to book again. ;)

Congratulations to your wife. Where was her transplant done ? My husband's was at the U of MD, in Baltimore. They were fantastic. We go back in June for his six month check-up. May your wife's transplant last for a long, long time.

I know you will love the Legend. We'll be on her sister ship, The Miracle in Jan. 2011. Can't wait ! Life's little pleasures are so much more appreciated when you have had major issues to deal with, aren't they.

We've been on it twice....and it remains our favorite.

No matter how many passengers there are....you'll never feel over crowded. Service personnel are the very, very best we've experienced, in all departments. No shortage of sincere smiles.

Dinners are handled very efficiently, and waiters top of the list......they will get to know you and your desires.

We like interior design......feels very subtle........others will disagree, especially those who dislike URNS !

Finally....Tampa is one of the very best operating ports......and if you have time before/after.......there's lots to enjoy in Tampa/St Pete.

I am absolutely in agreement with everything you wrote here.

We loved the Legend, beautiful ship!!! Lobster was icky in steakhouse, but the lamb and the porterhouse was to die for.

We got a table on Lido but we always get on the ship as early as possible, those Funship Specials sing a siren song to me for days before the cruise, gotta get it ASAP!!!

Oh, I made the mistake of trying to do everything on Freedom when we went thru Europe....Huge mistake, I am going to just take this one easy, rest and relax and enjoy the sights along the way! Plus your right, makes for a great excuse!

Yeah, we actually broke down and were going to try to do a cruise in Jan while she was on dialysis, but then got the call and were MORE than willing to wait......Plus now she will really be able to enjoy the food, sightseeing and everything else to its max

We loved our Legend cruise!

My niece and I really enjoyed getting specialty coffee and chocolate-covered strawberries and taking them inside the Enchanted Forest to sit and enjoy while we looked out the window on chilly sea mornings. It was a special place that gave us another getaway in addition to our balconies.

Believe it or not, I actually had a good time in the casino too. There were lots of penny slots, and I really liked the music they had in there at night.

My wife really enjoys penny slots! I usually enjoy the piano bar.....Although with a cold drink in hand, there isnt much I dont enjoy on a cruise ship
