How long is your call? Can you drive yourself?

We would appreciate your expertise in traveling & touring Lubeck. We will be visiting Hamburg for 3 full days in June prior to taking a cruise and then upon returning from the cruise we will be staying at the Courtyard Marriott at the airport. Due to the G20 summit which I believe will start on July 7th or 8th we thought it would be better to take the train to Lubeck after we cruise due to the anticipated increase in security and tourist. Does this plan make sense to you? Are you aware of any walking tours in Lubeck? Thank you for your input.

We drove ourselves to lubeck, wismar, and bad doberan during our port stop in warnemunde. We were in port 7a-9p and car was picked up dockside with Sixt. Lubeck tourist center has maps with walking tours.
