Quebec City Questions

Princess has a Canada/New England cruise that ends in Quebec City. If we were to do a one day post cruise stay, any suggestions on hotels? Looking for one that is centrally located so we can walk to most places. How far is it from pier to hotel? Hotel to airport? Thanks in advance for your help.

Check out the other active thread here on Quebec City.. about 3 posts down now.. We stay at Hotel du Pierre right near Frontenac at less than half the price. You don't need a car for the day; ship docks down near Old Town, you go up top and there are lots of small hotels, wonderful restaurants and excellent sightseeing.. etc.. you will have a hard time squeezing it into a day!

From hotel to airport in very snowy weather at 6:00 am. it was about 20 minutes... in evening from airport to hotel in almost blizzard about 45 mins.. so I'd say allow 1/2 hour just to be "safe" although in normal driving conditions it will be a much easier go of it than on a day when 20 inches of snow had fallen 12 hours before  Have also been there in the summertime and it's a glorious destination... you will love it..
