Does anyone know why most of the pictures are not showing up on my screen? Some are but most are not.

Possibly. Are you surfing from work? If so if your work has facebook blocked that may be the reason.

As I look they are all from Facebook. Of course the blocker may not be configured correctly etc. That is about the nly reason I can think of why though.

I really dont see what the big deal is with asking a question about someone's pictures?!?!?

I agree with Tiffany and all others inquiring about this pic. Those of us interested in having fun want to know how/if he got the liquor in those bottles! ;)

deucbmac, thanks for the boarding timeline explanations. Was your ship sailing at 4:30 or 5:30pm? I leave in 2 weeks and our sailing time moved up to 4:30 but wasn't sure if that was the case for you as well.

Loving all the pics! I was surprise that you did not get to board right into the atrium - that was my experience with the Legend. Hmmm.

Also, any problems with blow dryers, power strips, extension cords, etc?

Are you implying the others of us do not want to have fun and enjoy ourselves by reading the experience they had on the ship so we may better plan our trip?

Aaah! Thank you for that clarification. I will look at this post on my iPhone. At least that isn't blocked.

Thanks again for the Great review...I hope you finish it before we sail!!

Pics are great. The pic of the parking lot about what time was that? How full did it get?

Also what time was the cruise slated to sail? I know you said what time you boarded and such but just curious as the time difference.

Also did it ever seem "crowded" and if so where?

:D

Thanks again!

That was actually a parking lot for something else.

Here

This was the parking lot after we were on the boat for a bout an hour. It was never full.

Our cruise was supposed to leave originally at 5:30, but the was changed to 4:30. We didn't actually set sail though until 5:20.

Adam,

I am eagerly awaiting more of your review. We are sailling 8/22/10/

I lived in Greensburg for 8 years! I know exactly where it is. I went to Maxwell Elementary School, I don't know if it is still there. I visited a couple of years ago. I have fond childhood memories there. I moved to DC in 1979 so it has been quite a while.

Yes, Maxwell School is still there. I actually grew up right down the hill from it.

Great review, nice pics.. How the heck did you guys get that "Ice tea" into the bottles w/o them looking open and re-shrink wrapped?

I'd like to know this too!!!:o

Love the report from both of you too, keep them coming.

GREAT question!! I was also wondering the same!

Alright, Now for everyone that needs to know ..... LOL ..... I bought a 12 pack of Lipton Iced Tea. I then removed 6 bottles from the packaging and then carefully removed one bottle at a time from the shrink wrap, opened them and refilled them with NEW tea!!! I then placed them back into the shrink wrap being careful not to stretch it.

This will hopefully settle all the questions about my booze smuggling!!

Ok, so as we were wondering around and taking pictures of everything under the sun, we decided to see if our room was available yet. As we made our way down to our deck which was the Upper Deck, Deck 5. The doors were closed and we could not access our room.

It was then that we decided to go explore some more and snap some more pictures of the ship.

We made our way to the front of the ship to the Main Theatre area, however the doors were shut, with a sign saying that a rehersal was in progress. We walked around to the side on Deck 3, the Atlantic Deck and found a little passage called the Sunset Garden.

We walked around to the front of the passage and found that it wrapped around to the other side. We also found stairs that took you up to the Circle C and The Fun Club, AKA Camp Carnival. Since we had no kids to take to Camp, we didn't bother going up and just continued wrapping around to the other side.

After coming out on the other side we began making our way back to the aft of the ship, but came across many goodies along the way.

The first of which was the Internet Cafe/ Nobel Library.

After leaving the Library/Internet Cafe, We walked out into the hallway on the Atlantic Deck. It was so elegant and amazing.

We walked around a little more and came across the chapel which had closed doors with a Private Function sign up. Our guess was a wedding, seeing that we've done that before on the ship!!

We also came across an awesome fountain with a pair of stairs going down each side. We later found out the stair went to the Promenade Deck, Deck 2.

We then turned around and found one of our soon to be hang outs. The Ivory Bar.

It was then at about 2:45pm that an announcement came on saying that all the rooms were ready and could now be accessed. We then made our way back to the aft of the ship. My dad needed a soda card so they decided to stop at the Atrium Bar and take care of it. The cost ended up being $42.00 for the whole week. All they do is place a sticker on your sail and sign card and you're good to go. The Mrs. and I continued to the aft elevator bank and rode up to the Upper deck, deck 5. We made our way to the very back of the ship to our rooms. The wife and I were staying in room 5299, while my parents and sister were staying in the room next to us, 5270. They had already received 2 of their 7 pieces of luggage. 7? who knows why they needed that much. We each had a bag and between the two of us 1 carry-on.

It was the first time that we had stayed in a balcony room, let alone an extended aft balcony. We were so excited to have at least a window to look out. We tryed our card and walked into our room.

The Parents and Sis made their way back to their cabin and began checking everything out.

Now since it was Mother's Day and the Bestest Mommy in the World was right next door, The wife and I planned a little something for the Mommy.

We kinda checked things out in our room and I began reading the Fun Times (formerly the Carnival Capers)

Now, the thing that is nice with the Fun Times is that the schedule can be easily ripped out and carried with you so you always know what time your trivia, bingo, slot tournament, or show begins.

We were lounging around the room and checked in on all the info in the Fun Times, when there was a knock on the door. Sam got up to get it and it was our bags. She brought them over and set mine up on the bed. I had to know if the Jim....ah...uh...I mean Lipton tea had made the journey. We opened the bag to find nothing disturbed and the precious package just were I had packed it. We began unloading our bags and getting everything put away. The wife on the other hand decided to decorate. She had went to the party store and a few items for the our's and my parents door, our balcony door, and our room.

At about 4:00 the Cruise Director (CD) Kirk, came on and announced the Muster drill. We were to go to Muster Station D. We locked all of our stuff up in the safe, grabbed our sail and sign cards, our cameras, and headed to the Muster Station. Our station was on the Atlantic Deck, Deck 3, Aft, Portside (left facing the bow).

The Muster drill took about 5-10 minutes with instructions on how to put on you life-vest and all the lights and whistles. We, Thank God, did not have to wear or take or vests with us which was great.

After finishing up the Muster Drill, We made our way back up to the top of the Pride and got prepared for the Sail Away Party!! We started to snag a few shots of the nice eeeeeeeeeeeeck brown port water, and a little tug boat that came to make sure we got turned out ok.
