Accra Beach water sports?

Hi! Does anyone know if Accra Beach has water sports, specifically jet skiing?

IF you bring along your own snorkelling equipment

there is some fair-decent snorkelling to be had about 120 yds. offshore

along the man-made barrier reef(marked by two poles sticking up!).

Jet-skiing?

If the offshore waters are not too big/swelly

the jet-ski guys do make periodic patrols up and down that section of the South Coast

looking for customers like you -just wave your hands in the air, they'll see you!!

we were just there last week! of course you just had your question answered by the local expert...but for what its worth, the jet ski people came by just once while we were there one day. And it sort of seemed like the life guards there didnt appreciate it or something as they went running down the beach yelling at the guy, but he had already taken off on the jet ski so I dont know what that was really about. So it seems a little difficult there to get a ride on a jet ski from my one day of experience.

 

as mentioned, the snorkel place is there..but it is quite far out there. Further than I anticpated and I honestly didnt feel comfortable swimming that far and I am a pretty good swimmer (and a bit of a scaredy cat it seems)
