keevilp Posted May 18, 2010 #1 Share Posted May 18, 2010 We have sailed with RCI 8 times now and will be on our 3rd trip on Independence of the Seas in the summer. We always use a credit card for the onboard spends and will continue to do so this time. We are also taking my mum. My mum has never done any form of credit and whilst she is sufficiently credit worthy she cannot get a credit card as she has "No History" with cards. She simply hasnt needed them. She wants to keep her spends seperate from me and my wife and wants to open a Cash Account on board. What sort of deposit to RCI normally ask for and will there be any restrictions? Thanks in advance
houlacruiser Posted May 18, 2010 #2 Share Posted May 18, 2010 Here are a couple of threads to answer your questions. We used cash on our last cruise and it worked out just fine. Just make sure if she charges anything late the last night of the cruise, to make sure she settles up with guest services if she's already "cashed out." http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1199967&highlight=cash+seapass http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1198023&highlight=cash+seapass
