Advice desperately needed!!!!

I've been going over options for days now and am getting nowhere. My friend and I just can't decide. Our boat will be docked in Nassau from 11am to 10pm (9:30pm boarding time). We are two couples, ages 26 & 26 and 27 & 29.

Choice 1: Walk the straw market for an hr or so. Take taxi to Paradise Island Ferry Terminal at 1 to check in with Dolphin Encounter personell. Sea Lion encounter. Take Ferry back. Drop off bags and clean up on ship. Taxi over to Atlantis to look around, use the casino, check out the aquarium. Con... Little to no beach time.

Choice 2: Taxi or Jitney to either Wyndham/Sheraton for the day pass or walk to the BCH. Taxi or Walk back to Straw Market around 4. Shop and return stuff to ship to clean up and then head to Atlantis. Same activities as before. Con... No sea lion encounter.

Choice 3: Walk straw market. Water taxi to Atlantis. Use the beach pass only. Do the sea lion encounter. Hang around and do activities as planned.

Con... In one place all day, More expensive.

Us girls were looking forward to the sea lion encounter, the guys not so much. They could take it or leave it. Anyone done any of these things and can offer advice? What would you do? All opinions very much welcomed!!! Thanks!

Well, in a port day you can only do so much. Why not have the ladies do what they want, and the guys do their thing? Everyone wins.

FYI, many folks, (wife and I included) think straw markets are for the birds.

Why not use the beach at Blue Lagoon Before or after you dolphin encounter? You didn't mention the day, but I'd skip the straw market and go to Blue lagoon early enough to enjoy the beach before and after your program. Then take the ferry (4pm) back ... check out Atlantis in the evenng.

The boys could do the Blue Lagoon beach day while the girls do the sea lion encounter.

You could also stop by Cabbage Beach for a couple of hours after your encounter and rent jet skis, banana boat, etc. Just get off the ferry at Paradise Island instead of going back to the dock.

I agree with the others about skipping the Straw Market. You didn't say what ship you're on but if it stops at a private island, there is usually a straw market on the island. Blue Lagoon also has a nice gift shop.

The girls and guys are splitting up in Freeport to do their own things, so we kinda wanted to stick together in Nassau. I agree that there is only so much time. I guess we will just have to take another cruise to do everything we want to. :D

That was our plan from the get go... to spend the afternoon at Blue Lagoon and the night at Atlantis. We figured we would spend some time on the beach after our sea lion encounter. The problem that came up was that our ship does not dock until 11. We would miss the morning ferries over and the next ferry wouldn't be until 1. That would only leave us an hr to spend on the beach. We want to do the encounter, but enjoy the beach as well. Greedy, I know. lol :D

Yea, a lot of people say the same thing about the Straw Market. We have never been so I think we would like to "experience" it for a short time atleast. We could stay at Paradise Island. It would reduce the cost of taxis as well.

It's funny you say that... I say that all the time. "You never know, this might be our only chance." Us girls do want to participate in the sea lion encounter and even though I try to justify to myself we could always go again and do it then, I think the same thing... what if it is our chance.
