jkloni Posted February 1, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 1, 2005 We are leaving Sunday 2/6. Will be in Progresso 2/8. Can anyone tell me the costs of the excursions Carnival offers on the Elation? My sis is specifically asking about Chichen Itza or Uxmal. If you have children's prices I'd like that too. Carnival lists the excursions, but no prices on their website. So anyone's that's been and knows the prices for any/all of the offered excursions I'd really like the info. Thanks. Kathy

SuprHawk Posted February 2, 2005 #3 Share Posted February 2, 2005 I just realized I could look up all the excursion prices. Dzibilchaltun is $51 pp Colonial Izamal is $65 pp (not sure if this is the ruins at Uxmal or ???) All it shows is one price. IF they have a childs price it should be cheaper. Enjoy your cruise! You will receive an order form from Carnival when you are on the ship, but here are some prices to give you an idea. 4x4 jeep tour $79.00 Chichen Itza ruins $77.00 Colonial Izamal $65.00 Dzililchatun Mayan Ruins $51.00 Dzil and Mexican Rodeo $79.00 Haciendas of the Yucatan $89.00 Kayak Adventure $69.00 Kodiak Offroad Truck $65.00 Merida tour and Rodeo $69.00 Merida Overview and shopping $35.00 Uxmal ruins and lunch $71.00 Le Ceiba Golf and Country Club $135.00 Corona Beach Break $35.00 I've done the Dzil tour through the ship and liked it but you can probably book it through an independent company in port $20.00 cheaper. The Corona Beach is at the end of the Pier and is a short walk ( 2 or 3 blocks) from the bus stop where the shuttle bus drops you from the ship. Hope this helps. jkloni Posted February 6, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted February 6, 2005 Clackey thanks so much for the info. I guess because I'm still up and packing 4 hours before our alarm goes off to leave for the cruise, I checked email and got your info. Maybe it does pay to wait to pull down the suitcases and search for your swimsuit until 9pm the night before! NOTE: I do not recommend this method to anyone! Just too little time and way, way too much to do...... We are so looking forward to the trip. Thanks again!! Kathy :D
sndgirl22 Posted February 8, 2005 #6 Share Posted February 8, 2005 How long was the Dziblchaltun ruins tour? My husband and I are thinking about doing this on our cruise.
clackey Posted February 13, 2005 #7 Share Posted February 13, 2005 Dear 22, I hope you don't mind the informalities.:D The ship tour last for 4 hours. They bus you to the ruins, lead you through the museum and then escort you around the ruins. After the tour you can prowl on your own or take a swim in the cenote. Take plenty of film and enjoy. It is well worth the trip. Capt. Curt (a.k.a. Clackey)
