So, if indeed the ship is full and the OP isn't happy with the SS. a quick call to HAL could fix that ... the OP could offer to trade the SS with the guests actually assigned the SZ. Likely HAL, and the lucky/trading passenger, would oblige.

Was this thread started as a joke? When I'm out on my balcony, I rarely look straight down? However, Copper 10"s joke was great. I hadn't heard that one before.

 

Once I was booked in an obstructed view OV which was located between the lifeboats, so we had a small view of the ocean without a lifeboat in front of us. A crew member was working on one of the boats, but he never looked in our window, but we watched him do his job.

If you are unhappy with your room, why not call HAL and see if there is another cabin available in your category. Or if you booked through a travel agent, have them call. If there is nothing available, try again in a couple of days.

last summer on the "O" we were upgraded twice-the 2nd time at the pier--so you never know what cabin you might end up with until you actually board.
