Inside Passage>Starboard or Port? Does it Matter?

If you are traveling the Inside Passage and spending the money for a balcony cabin, does it matter, in terms of scenery, whether you are on the Starboard or Port side of the ship?

While in the inside passage itself, it doesn't matter all that much because land is on both sides. So if roundtrip, it doesn't matter. If you are cruising 1-way: starboard is better for northbound and port better for southbound.

We had best of both - A corner aft cabin on the Summit. views to 270 degrees: left, right, back and some forward. Any aft cabin (if available, depending on ship) will allow you 180 degrees views.

Jrask is right. If you are doing a northbound only, then starboard. If you are doing southbound,then do port side.

Also a strong recommendation- get out on DECK at least part of glacier sailing day, nothing beats the full front viewing. :)
