Has anyone stayed at the Best Western downtown Vancouver?

located at the upper end of Vancouver's entertainment district - the area is rejuvenating and is reasonably safe - you are aways away from the tourist attractions.

If you are there on a weekend all the bars along Granville St are open to 3AM and there can be lot's of street noise - week days would be much quieter - there is a great blues bar across the street called the Yale Hotel which is next door to a stripper bar called the Cecil Hotel.

 

I can't make a recommendation either way about this hotel as I have not stayed there. I am sure some of the other local posters will provide you with further food for thought.

We stayed at the BW on English Bay nearer to Stanley Park and right by the beach and loved it.. that was a couple of years ago. In a residential type area more than right downtown but by bus just a few minutes up Robson to everything.

small but new and clean.Security is high-even the elevator needs a card. Ask for a room overlooking the bridge-you will have a little view.
