Border at Vancouver?

Has anyone had experience recently (past 4 months) with crossing at the U.S. & Vancounver border with time delays?

The delays are far more significant during the cruise season and summer touring. The border crossings now don't in any way compare. :)

 

I cross right over the Peace Bridge out of Buffalo now, but have been in lines in the summer. :)

some delays and lots of folks pulled over. Just tell them you are going on a cruise and be cheerful-they will want to get rid of you.

With that kind of advice you are definitely going to have to change your screen name!!! We crossed thru the truck crossing which is inland a little ways and had about a 5 minute delay in Sep.

nothing! 2 - 3 hours is regular in the Summer. The earlier you get to the border,the less wait.Dinner time is not bad either.The Truck crossing can be good-or worse. Trucks come forst and you may have a long wait. There is a guy on a cart that sells ice cream-nice treat in a line up.

And take note: there are no public conveniences in the lineup for the "truck" (aka Pacific Highway) crossing. If you hit it on one of the bad days, have some empty Coke cans at the ready.

I have also crossed in Lynden, never the wait there, that there is at Blaine. :) The early start is right on- the last several years I have stayed the night before cruising in Bellingham, then with a start by 9-10am I have little wait and plenty of time for some Vancouver touring.
