Need some cabin help for Veendam please..m

need to book 2 cabins, it would be nice if they are close to each other. Our choices are 512/514 which is forward or 768/770 which is mid ship, but there is a large, non cabin space next to 768. I'm concerned about noise. Called HAl and the rep did not know what was there. Does anyone have any idea? Thanks in advance!

The area next to 768 appears to be the area where the crew go up and down between the decks -- look carefully and you will see a set of stairs there as well.
