Great review. Just wish they had St Croix instead of St Thomas. I did a live aboard dive trip there two years ago and loved St Croix.

Do you remember which side of the ship you were on as you came into St. Lucia and saw the Pitons? I am doing a whale tour through Carnival and i think we see the Pitons on this tour but not positive.

I was on the starboard side. Our cabin was on the port side (which was a great side for most ports) but I went up to the lido deck to take the photos of the Pitons.

Cockleshell beach was very pretty but Orient beach was our favorite! At Orient we walked down the beach a bit to le String Bar. The sign said $8 per person but we got 2 chairs, an umbrella, 2 full size drinks (our choice - and the pina coladas are yummy) and they have their own bathroom and shower you can use for $15. We thought it was a good deal. Other places were the same price but it is a smaller drink, they didn't have a shower and you only got one bathroom pass.

Here's le String - I could have spent the whole day there!

I do not mind the cruise being port intensive but do you know when the casino opens/closes??

We didn't go to the casino but I know they are only open while at sea (same with the stores on the ship). Most ports did seem to have casinos (I remember in St Kitts there is one on the right as soon as your leave the main building - we had a beer at the bar above it with a great view of the Victory)

We used Bernards in St Maarten and Scenic Barbados in Barbados - highly recommend both tours.

We loved San Juan. You will just have to go back another time so you can see more of it :) Have fun on your cruise!

I think the tubing will depend on the amount of water flowing in the river. For us it wasn't too intense. The tour company had guides on tubes to help you if you got stuck. It was lots of fun!
