winniesbestm8 Posted June 1, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 1, 2010 Have narrowed it down to these two ships, for a med cruise (Southampton-Southampton)with my hubby and two young children, but there are certain things on both ships that put me off a little. There is a cruise fayer this week we are going to so need to put down all my Q's etc. Firstly Q is the beds on either ship, not sure I want to pay for a suite, but my girls will only be 3 and 2 when we go, so they will be too small for the bunks, and we obviously cant go in them, anyone found a way around this. Which ship do you recommend and why?
cb at sea Posted June 1, 2010 #2 Share Posted June 1, 2010 Book a cabin with a sofabed...then the kids can sleep there, and the adults get the "real" bed. Or, put the kids on the floor...they don't care where they sleep! RCI won't take a 2 year old into the kid's club...they have to be 3 and potty-trained....but there is "in cabin babysitting", if you want a night out...that's nice! nannybeth Posted June 1, 2010 #3 Share Posted June 1, 2010 we have two little ones as well, 5 and 3. We are getting adjoining promenade staterooms and letting the kids have thier own room. Actually was cheaper than booking a larger room for 4. And we will have two bathrooms, two tv's etc. Good luck with your decision.
winniesbestm8 Posted June 2, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted June 2, 2010 I didn't know that about RCI and the kids club, its supposed to be a more child friendly ship...I would want both of them to go into the club too. Will ask about sofa beds and joining staterooms, I thought those would have worked out more expensive, but I guess if you find a good deal
