maggie3 Posted June 1, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 1, 2010 Our cruise will be in port in Zakynthos for a day. Can previous travelers please recommend the best method of transport for seeing the island? Is there a specific person you would recommend as a guide? Are there specific sights/activities that should not be missed?
ambersstepmom Posted April 5, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2011 We are also going next month. What did you end up doing there? What do you recommend?
Rare Hlitner Posted April 5, 2011 #3 Share Posted April 5, 2011 My only lasting memory of this island was Shipwreck Beach. This can only be reached by boat (there is a viewing deck about 1000 feet above the beach but there is no way down). We were there on a small 150 foot yacht and dropped anchor off Shipwreck to go swimming (we swam into the beach). There are local small boats that take folks to that famous beach. Goggle the place. MNmariner Posted May 18, 2011 #5 Share Posted May 18, 2011 The Queen Victoria is going into Zakynthos in October and I would love any information you have on the island. Thanks.

kbarb44 Posted May 18, 2011 #7 Share Posted May 18, 2011 We are also going next month. What did you end up doing there? What do you recommend? We just returned and I would highly recommend "Nefis tours" with Jackie. She was warm, knowledgable and truly in love with the area. We not only saw the sights but stopped at a tavern with wine, local tapas and singing. :):):)
