I am trying to make a decision between Princess and Holland America's line. All but one of Princesses tours only offer the Natural History tour, and of course I don't want to do that one. My question is how hard is it to book the TWT independently and can you do that ahead of time?

Princess stopped giving refunds for NHT. You can cancel it and book TWTin advance on your own and pay the full price.

You can book the twt with Princess. You just have to call them or have your TA call and tell them you want the twt instead of the NATURAL History tour. They will change it and just charge you the difference in the cost.

We just did this for our 2011 cruisetour. Princess cancelled the Natural History tour and charged us the difference for the TWT tour.
