D4-D8 Difference?

Recommended Posts

We are looking to reserve a balcony cabin for a future cruise, but I'm having trouble figuring out the balcony classes:confused: . On the same deck and in alot of cases right next door to each other there are D4 AND D8 cabins - there is a difference of $240.00 in the price. According to the deck plan, they are all the same size- does anyone have any knowledge of any differences in these categories? This is on Deck 8 aft - but it seems to be the same on 7 aft, while on Deck 9 it's D4s and D7s. Any idea?

Thanks:)

Jane

Location is one reason, as higher decks usually more "desirable" to some. Plus, the higher capacity cabins are D4 and up. D5-8 do not allow 4 passengers.

D1 and D5 have larger balconies, but only if the D5 is on the hump. For that reason we chose a D5 on deck 8, close to Central Park, with the larger angled balcony.

Interior size and amenities are the same, so it's your budget that matters most. We generally pick mid-ship and don't really care about how high we are.:)

Hi

We just came back from Oasis and had a D8 cabin. The only difference is the number of people that can be accommodated. D8 has two beds; that is it. Everything else is exactly the same; same size; same layout; same balcony size except for D1, which has an 80 SF balcony rather than 50 SF for D2 through D8.
