phdiva Posted June 8, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 8, 2010 Hi! We're going to be in Aruba AGAIN ;-) and would like to visit the Donkey Sanctuary during this visit. Is it accessible by bus? Would we be better off renting a car or getting a cab? Would we be able to get a cab back, or would the driver be willing to wait for us (for a fee, of course)? How long would we likely spend at the sanctuary? Any other ideas for our 12-hours in port? We've already done the full-day jeep tour with snorkeling, and taken bus #10 (?) to the beach for snorkeling, and wandered around town.

Arubalisa Posted September 7, 2010 #3 Share Posted September 7, 2010 The sanctuary is off the beaten path, pretty much the middle of no where.;) You would need a taxi. I suggest contacting Bully. phdiva Posted December 21, 2010 Author #5 Share Posted December 21, 2010 Just wanted to report back in case anyone else is interested in the Donkey Sanctuary. Four of us took a cab out there a two weeks ago and enjoyed our morning with the donkeys and the volunteers. If you're the sort of person who's thinking you'll enjoy a trip out there and is wondering if it's worth it, definitely make the effort. The cab driver knew where to take us, and a volunteer called us another cab when we were ready to leave. A good time was had by all.

We're taking a tour with Bully and I specifically asked him to include the Donkey Sanctuary. So good to hear that you enjoyed it so much! :D
