Formal Nights

Yes it's always a formal night. The vast majority of women adhere to the black and white even if it's a black dress, or glitzy top and floaty trousers with a white shawl or white flower. I would say it's the most formal of all the formal evenings. You do occasionally see the odd red dress - or whatever - but very, very few.

And having read about it on the posts on here used it as an excuse to go out and buy another (B&W) posh frock as the others were deep blue and bronze !

 

For someone who just did not 'DO' formal dress I am really getting into the swing of things and starting to look forward to it. Hubby looks very good in his new suit and bow tie too !!!!! (A real first!)

Sailed on Ventura last week and second formal night was black and white night, but didn't seem to affect what people wore - no different from the other formal night. All sorts of different colours evident and certainly less formal than we expected - mostly ladies in 3/4 length cocktail dresses.
