Shuttle Service Recommendations for Miami

My wife and I are staying at the Marriott Biscayne Bay the night before our cruise and are looking for recommendations on shuttle service from Miami International to the hotel.

 

How much(estimate) are taxi's from the airport to the downtown area?

 

Any recomendations for restaurants near by the hotel and/or Bayside?

I have stayed at this hotel recently. Cab from the airport to the hotel was $24 plus tip. That is for the cab, not per person. There are shuttles but they usually charge per person so it might end up more than the cab. The cab fare from the hotel to the POM was $10.

The bar/dining room at the Doubletree (1/2 block south of your hotel) is also a good option. Good luck!:)

How safe is it walking from the Marriott down to Bayside or should we catch a cab? I have walked around downtown STL many times at night but we know where to go and where not to(2nd home since we are Cards Fans)!!!
